《提高篇》是进阶式对外汉语系列教材《成功之路》的中级汉语综合课教材。从本书开始，学习者将跨入汉语学习的中级阶段。 

本书将语言知识、语言技能及社会文化融为一体，并应用了近些年来对外汉语教学界最新研究成果，如语素研究、语段研究、语用研究等，使教学内容和形式更趋完整、规范，富有新意。 

每课包括五大板块：课文导入、课文、生词和语法、练习和扩展阅读。每课课文和生词专门设计成对开页对应出现的版式，使学习者在学习课文过程中能快速查找到生词的发音、意思以及用法，为学习提供最大程度的便利。每课课文后都配有两篇“扩展阅读”，为学生提供更多的汉语语言材料， 扩展主课文的题材，扩大词汇量、加强学生的汉语语感。 

全书分为两册，每册7课，共14课。本书为《提高篇》第2册，内容涉及误解的解除、给儿子起名、快乐的含义、体育明星——姚明、父子关系、相亲男女、未来十年中国经济前景等方面。学完本册，学生可以掌握500多个生词、近40个重点词语或语法、24个常用语素和近100个相关词语、27组近义词辨析以及30多个成语。 

随书附赠录音CD1盘，录有课文导入、课文和生词等内容。

Lower Intermediate provides comprehensive intermediate Chinese texts. The students step into the intermediate stage in their Chinese study after learning this book. 
This book integrates language knowledge, language skills and social culture. It uses the latest research achievements in the field of Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language (TCFL) of the recent years, such as the studies on morphemes, paragraphs, pragmatics, so as to make the teaching contents and forms more complete, standard and innovative. 
—Yao Ming, Father–child relationship, Match-making, China’s economic prospect in the future 10 years etc. The students can learn over 500 new words, nearly 40 key words or grammar, 24 commonly-used morphemes and nearly 100 relevant words, 27 sets of synonym discriminations and over 30 idioms.
It consists of two volumes, each of which has 7 lessons. Every lesson contains five parts: "Introduction to the Text", "Text", "New words and Grammar", "Exercises and Extensive Reading". The lessons and new words are designed into folio formats to facilitate the students to find the pronunciation, meanings and usages of the new words as soon as possible when they study the texts. Two extensive readings are attached at the end of each text to provide the students with more Chinese language materials, expand the themes of the texts, enlarge the students’ vocabulary and develop their language sense. 
This is the second volume of Lower Intermediate. Its contents involve many aspects, such as Clearing up the misunderstanding, Naming your son, What is “happiness”, Sports star

An accompanying CD includes the recording of the introductions to the texts, texts and new words.
